Life: Full Colour is starting 2022 with a colourful bang, sharing work from across the gallery’s artist colony in its first exhibition for the year.
The Artist Colony exhibition will showcase work from the gallery’s featured artists – Nathan Jones, Jan Gardner RCA, Ann Lewis RCA, and Jocelyn Roberts – as well as artists from across Wales. The show opens on 14 January at the yellow gallery, 23-25 Hole in the Wall Street in Caernarfon. Click here to see the full list of artists and artwork available.
Following the exhibition, the gallery will take to the road for a special pop-up event in London for Wales Week before returning to home soil for a vibrant explosion of art in Jan Gardner’s solo exhibition in March.
Artist in residence, Nathan Jones, will take over the gallery in April with his distinctive paintings inspired by his imagination and unique style. Summer will be in full bloom thanks to triumphant trio Sharon Harvey, Jill Jones and Jocelyn Roberts who will each share their work in a solo show.
The second half of the year will see Global Shorelines, a marine conservation arts project and photography exhibition, coming to Wales for the first time. In November, we return to the Manchester Art Fair following a successful show in 2021.
We wrap up 2022 with the annual Life: Full Colour open show, inviting artists from across Wales, to showcase their work. Sign up to our newsletter to stay up to date with news about the open show including theme and submission deadlines.
Throughout the year, artists will also share their skills and knowledge in a complementary workshop progamme at our new art and wellbeing space, The Doctor’s Art House.
