Jill Jones brings summer fun to Caernarfon with new exhibition

The exhibition, which runs from 5 May to 17 June, is inspired by fond memories of summer holidays and features 30 vibrant paintings in acrylics and oils.

Jill’s artwork encapsulates the essence of summer, from coastal living to the salty sea air, and celebrates the joys of a day out, whether it’s catching a glimpse of a dolphin or enjoying an ice cream on the beach. Each piece is designed to evoke happy memories in viewers and transport them to a place of warmth and happiness.

According to Jill Jones, the exhibition is a joyous collection of moments and memories inspired by those special times we create together or on our own. These warm and fuzzy memories remain in a cherished place in our hearts and can be sparked by a sight, smell or sound that takes us back to a happy day or place.

Jill said: “Life is a succession of (hopefully) wonderful times, naturally interspersed with some sadder days, which clearly none of us can avoid. But if we can be supported by love, and the kindness and generosity of spirit we share, then solace can be found by looking back on a special moment or a precious memory. This could be prompted by seeing a field down to the sea, the waves or even from sitting in the rain. And so, this collection of paintings was created because we can all cast our minds back on seeing something and say: Didn’t we have a lovely time?”

“The Day We Went To…” includes a range of paintings, from small individual pieces to larger statement works. All the artwork is available for purchase, and buyers can take advantage of Collectorplan’s 0% finance scheme.
