Titian: Love, Desire, Death, National Gallery

Six paintings by Renaissance master Titian are reunited for the first time in 400 years in this new exhibition.

Commissioned by Prince Philip of Spain in 1551, the paintings depict Classical myths primarily taken from the Roman poet Ovid’s ‘Metamorphoses’.

Titian’s Diana and Callisto will be one of the paintings on display.
