Celebrating Welsh creativity through LIVE art and immersive guest experiences

Life: Full Colour is delighted to announce its latest artistic collaboration with The Imperial Hotel, Llandudno — a partnership that celebrates established Welsh artists while championing experience-led hospitality in one of North Wales’ most iconic settings.

Renowned for its Victorian elegance and warm welcome, The Imperial Hotel has long been a supporter of Welsh culture and creativity. This collaboration builds on that ethos, transforming the hotel into a living, breathing artistic environment where creativity is encountered in real time.

From Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th February, selected Welsh artists will be working live in the hotel foyer between 11am and 5pm, painting in public view and engaging in conversation with guests about their practice, process, and inspiration. The experience invites visitors to witness art as it unfolds — spontaneous, human, and deeply connected to place.

Alongside the live painting, guests are invited to take part in exclusive Paint & Prosecco workshops on Friday 27th February, running from 3–4:30pm and 6:30–8pm. These relaxed, sociable sessions offer a hands-on creative experience guided by the artists, encouraging participation, conversation, and enjoyment rather than perfection.

This is not a traditional gallery exhibition. It is an immersive artistic programme that brings creativity directly into the heart of the hotel, aligning seamlessly with The Imperial’s commitment to meaningful, memorable guest experiences rooted in Welsh culture. Local artists participating include Jan Gardner RCA, Amanda Webster, Peter Mattinson and Dermod Ruddock.
